A Sudden Shift

As we enter into a new year and a new season, you can expect a sudden shift. Many of us have been in a time of transition for a long time, waiting on God to fulfill His promises. HE has been preparing some of us for a long time and now, like Joseph, many of us will receive our “suddenly” and enter into the greater purpose and plan God has called us and equipped us for.

The key right now is to get ready and be prepared to adjust to the shifts God is bringing. It all starts with your thinking and being open to whatever God may have in store. It requires humility. Do things have to happen your way or will you be ready to adjust when your God-opportunity appears?

Joseph’s “suddenly” came through an opportunity to minister and serve someone, namely the Pharaoh whose prison Joseph had spent many years in. The Pharoah needed a dream interpreted. And when his number was called, Joseph was not asleep. His attitude was right. He wasn’t bitter about all those years in prison. He was ready when his opportunity came. In one day, he was completely restored. In one day, he was promoted and elevated to a position higher than he had ever imagined. The key here is that it didn’t happen the way Joseph thought it would, but because he adjusted to the shift in thinking needed to walk into his destiny, he was able to receive all that God had for him.

I believe God bring full restoration quickly and completely to a lot of people. It might not look the way you thought it would. That doesn’t mean it’s not as good as you thought it would be – in fact, if you respond with humility, you will find God’s plan is far greater than the plan you had for yourself. I recently wrote about my trip to Cuba and how God’s plan was so much better than the plan I had for myself. In fact, I was blown away as God did more for me than I could even ask for think. And the blessings continue to flow as doors of opportunity open before me.

My prayer is that you will be ready to respond when your “suddenly” comes. Let’s go into this new season strong and ready for the great things God has in store for us!
